Birds in the Void: The inaugural
2020
I was deeply drawn to the watercolour's effect when it was allowed to unfold without interference, and found it to be quite poetic. This is how 'Birds in the Void' came to be. In addition, I've always been persistent in my pursuit of a state of mind free of distractions, which has been a backdrop in my life. This pursuit became particularly crucial during the period when I had just started painting full-time and everyone's lives were affected by Covid and lockdowns. It was then that I needed a spiritual sanctuary that was free of disturbances, and these birds reflected such a haven. I felt as though I was transformed into one of these birds, entering a void where I could relax without any constraints.
